While the consortium is new, the services have been working cooperatively for some time to provide health and other community services to the Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people of central Queensland.
The organisations are working together to help reduce barriers to service access for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. They have the backing of the Elders and community members to help drive a model of service delivery based on the principles of self-determination, workforce development and community education.
